The following proposal provides a description of services provided for the Standard dynamic web site. Most Joomla!-based content management system sites are based on this proposal.

Please be aware that the proposal is displayed as a model and each bid made for a client is created uniquely for that client's requirements after consultation and analysis. 

Model Proposal for Joomla-based Sites:

This email represents my proposal to re-design and construct an interactive portal site for www.yoursite.org. The re-designed web site allows registered members to interact directly with YOU via such services as the ability to download copies of grant proposals and other documents necessary for the work of your teen reviewers; communicate on a forum or a chat room for real-time meetings or presentations/interviews; view a photo gallery and/or slideshow of past YOU events with commenting capabilities; share experiences via a personal blogging area; and keep track of meeting via a powerful calendaring system. All of these services are supported on the Joomla content management system. Should you desire to grow the site in the future, Joomla is modular and you can add newsfeeds related to the philanthropies your groups are considering as well as links to community service sites where your volunteers offer support, and other interactive features, such as podcasting, online donations in a secure environment, a room reservation system or event reservation system, and videos either hosted on your site or via services such as YouTub.com or Google Video.

I am proposing to customize a commercial template (the software that contains the layout and structure of the site) and install appropriate components, modules, and mambots to   ensure that the site provides a high level of interactivity. In addition, the site will be integrated with your existing email newsletter service via IntelliConnect to maintain the newsletter portion. Your mailing list can also be imported into the website for tighter management of donations and member services. I will train your staff how to maintain the site, or I would be glad to work out a future arrangement whereby I maintain the site. One of the benefits of Joomla is its user-friendly updating capabilities.

I will complete this work in approximately 100 hours (depending on your decision-making timing).

There will be expenses since some of the components are commercial (especially the ones that support calendars and photos) but I will let you know before I go and purchase any software. None of the software costs over $60. I estimate total expenses of $200 given my experience on other web development efforts using Joomla.

In addition, I am offering to host the site by moving your existing domain to my hosting service that is a Joomla-optimized supported by Siteground, for $6 per month or an annual fee of $72. (Please check out the high bandwidth and storage capacity of Siteground at www.siteground.com.) You would not have to change email addresses. I would have to know where your domain is registered and gain access to the registry in order to move the Domain Name Servers.

The second half will be invoiced upon satisfactory completion of the site (meaning that it is up and running without flaws). I will also offer consulting after it is up and running on a pro-bono basis. I am suggesting that you invest in an e-book on Joomla Administration that I have found to be well written and easy to follow.
